How to start on Fanvue — setup, verification and the first 30 days

The thing to check while you are in there: the promotional earning rate. Fanvue advertises 15% commission for a newly signed-up creator’s first 12 months, meaning you keep 85% against the standard 80%. Confirm it is applied to your account rather than assuming — and screenshot it.

Fanvue’s earnings policy describes promotional rates as something it may “introduce, update, extend, reduce, or withdraw”, and the cohort that joined on 85% in 2022 has already been moved to the standard 80%. Step 2: Verify completely, before anything else
This is where most stalled Fanvue accounts stop, and it is entirely avoidable.
You will need government-issued photo ID, a selfie or liveness check confirming you are the person on the document and over 18, and payout details for your chosen withdrawal method. An unverified account cannot be paid, and discovering that after you have built an audience and earned money is a bad month.
Do it on day one, fully, before you post a single piece of content. Use your real legal details — mismatches between ID and payout account are the most common cause of held payouts.
Step 3: Choose your payout method deliberately
Fanvue supports bank transfer, crypto wallets where supported, and third-party wallets. Minimum thresholds vary by method and Fanvue does not publish them up front, so ask support what applies to yours before you rely on it.
Crypto deserves genuine consideration rather than being dismissed. If your bank has been difficult about adult-adjacent income — and plenty are, sometimes abruptly — a second independent route to being paid is worth more than a percentage point of commission.
Step 4: Build the page before you announce it
Three things to have in place before anyone sees the profile.
Enough content that the page does not look abandoned. A subscriber arriving to four posts will not stay. Aim for a back catalogue that justifies a month’s subscription on its own.
A price you have thought about. Most creators price too low initially. Your Fanvue price does not have to match what you charge elsewhere, and starting slightly higher is easier than raising later.
A reason to be here rather than your other platform. If your Fanvue page is a mirror of your OnlyFans page, fans will pick one, and it will be the one they are already subscribed to. Give Fanvue something exclusive — a series, a format, earlier access.
Step 5: Drive traffic, because nothing else will
Your first month on Fanvue is a traffic exercise, not a content exercise.
Pick one off-platform channel and work it consistently for 30 days before judging anything. Posting to five channels sporadically loses to posting to one daily, every time. Fanvue pays 5% of a referred creator’s earnings for 12 months from their registration date, capped at $50,000 per referred creator. The commission is credited as a separate balance and is not itself subject to platform fees.
Two corrections worth carrying, because both circulate widely:
It is 12 months, not 36. Many well-ranked review sites say 36. Fanvue’s own referral policy and its help centre both say 12.
Do not promise it costs the creator nothing — yet. Fanvue’s legal policy reads as though commission comes out of the referred creator’s earnings; its help centre says referring “won’t affect what the people you invite earn”. Ask support in writing, keep the reply, and describe the program the way the answer tells you to.
