What would you actually take home?

Enter what you earn and see exactly what each platform pays you — take-home after commission, and what you would earn referring a creator who earns the same.

Disclosure: some links on this page are referral links. If you sign up through one we may be paid a commission by the platform, at no extra cost to you. We rank platforms on their terms, not their payouts — here is how.

What you keep

Platform Commission Take-home over the period Difference vs the worst
LoyalFans 20%
Fanvue 20%
Fansly 20%
OnlyFans 20%

The spread here is small by design — all four platforms take 20%, and only Fanvue's promotional first year separates them at all. Anyone selling you a platform on its fee split is selling you a rounding error. Why they all charge the same →

What one referral is worth

Assuming you refer a single creator who goes on to earn the same monthly figure. This is where the platforms genuinely diverge, because duration and cap matter far more than the headline rate — which is 5% everywhere.

Platform Terms Referral income over the period
LoyalFans 5% for lifetime
Fanvue 5% for 12 months
Fansly 5% for 12 months Disputed
OnlyFans 5% for 12 months

Read the referral figures as a ceiling, not a forecast

Fansly's terms are not published publicly and sources disagree on the duration, so its row uses the conservative twelve-month reading. LoyalFans is modelled as ongoing because its commission is described as lifetime — but OnlyFans advertised "LIFETIME" in capital letters from 2016 before cutting it to twelve months and capping it in 2020, retroactively, and is being sued over that change. What the numbers actually say

Two things, once you have moved the sliders around a little.

Commission is not a differentiator. Over three years, the gap between the best and worst platform on take-home comes to less than a single month's income — and only because of a promotional rate that Fanvue's own terms let it withdraw. Choosing a platform on its fee split is optimising the wrong variable.

Referral duration is. Push the horizon past twelve months and every platform except LoyalFans stops paying, while LoyalFans keeps going. Same 5% rate, entirely different outcome. That single column is why our ranking looks nothing like the traffic rankings.

Where the two arguments land

Fansly if you need an audience, Fanvue if you have one, LoyalFans if you refer other creators, OnlyFans if you just want the most fans. Most creators earning consistently should run two.

Common questions

How much do you actually keep on OnlyFans, Fanvue, Fansly and LoyalFans?

All four take 20%, leaving you 80%. The single exception is Fanvue, which runs a promotional 15% commission for a newly signed-up creator’s first 12 months, so you keep 85% during that year and 80% after it. Over any period longer than a year, all four cost the same.

Does this calculator include payout fees?

No. It models platform commission only, because that is the figure platforms publish. Your payout method fee and any currency conversion also come out of your share on every platform, typically tens of dollars a month rather than hundreds. Compare payout methods separately.

How is the referral figure calculated?

It assumes you refer one creator who earns the same monthly amount you entered, then applies each platform’s commission rate for its published duration, capped where a cap exists. LoyalFans is modelled as ongoing because its commission is described as lifetime; the others stop at twelve months.

Why does LoyalFans show so much more referral income?

Because duration dominates everything else. All four platforms pay 5%, but LoyalFans is the only one that pays it for the life of the referred creator’s account rather than for twelve months. Over five years that is roughly five times the commission from an identical referral elsewhere.
